We share here knowledge about our traditional governance system, land use maps,  scientific publication, books and white papers, as well as national law that are relevant to us, project reports, videos, documentaries, radio programs and podcast which, all together, help widen the knowledge of local people and outsiders in relation to Saamaka land.

Radio programs and podcasts

The radio programs are part of a communication strategy of the VSG to inform Saamaka communities worldwide about land rights processes relevant to them and to keep them informed about new developments in this matter. Also, to keep them updated about the work of the VSG. Radio programs are broadcasted every two weeks in 5 radio stations: Two national radio stations, two Okanisi radio stations and one Saamaka radio station. The radio programs are also shared in different Saamaka Whatsapp groups, hence, reaching thousands of Saamaka speaking people in Suriname and abroad.
